"It's not just about preserving memories; it's about leveraging our shared history to build a stronger economic future."
The Tazewell Class of '73 Peak Foundation is dedicated to documenting the legacy of our alumni, honoring their achievements, stories, and contributions to our communities. By leveraging our shared history, we aim to build a stronger economic future for our alma mater and hometown.
We’re excited to partner with PBS Appalachia to share our story. This legacy documentary celebrates our past and inspires future economic growth. Highlighting that nearly 50% of our classmates have stayed in our county and 70% in the state, we showcase strong local loyalty and potential economic development.
Tazewell Class of ’73 Peak Foundation is launching: Roots to Real – Throw It In A Crockpot.
This program is focused on addressing food insecurity, promoting healthier eating habits, and reviving basic cooking and nutrition skills in Tazewell County and surrounding areas. We are partnering with local schools, Communities In Schools and the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office VT, to equip families with the tools and knowledge they need to prepare simple, nutritious meals at home. This initiative is funded through Walmart and Wayfarer Restaurant.
Guided by the principle that "to whom much is given, much is required," we dedicate ourselves to serving others, fostering inclusivity, and creating positive change.
